Notes: the philosopher and writer Kallistenes refused to perform the proskynesis before Alexandros when Hephaestion asks him to do as the King orders. My take on the episode.

Notes: just another of my mournful stories-poems...Barsines thinks of Alexandros and of the last time she saw him.
About the marriages in Susa, I followed Arrian's account, who says that Barsines' daughter married Nearkos; with the majority of historians, I supposed that Barsines was much older than Alexandros.
Translation of the quote by the french writer Céline: All that matters happens in the shadows. We know nothing of the true history of men.

I can hardly believe it, but I managed to write a new story about Alexandros...:D Actually, not only one, because another is coming...I needed some break from studies (yes, I study also when I'm in holiday...). This is the italian version of the first story: the english version will come, I only need some time, ok?

Notes: I've tried to feel what Barsines could have felt in her lonely years far from Alexandros, her fear and despair, her love and her thoughts for her son. We can suppose that she was quite older than Alexandros (despite what Chugg says), and I saw her as a mistress, but also as a mother. Last note: I've followed Arrian's account about the marriage of Nearkos in Susa.

Finally I have written again something about Alexander...it's a very short story, actually more a poem than a story. A "conversation of eyes" between Kalanos, the indian philosopher who asked to be burned when he felt death coming close to him, and Alexander. This short story is from a poem I had written sometime ago.
